Keeping busy

Here are three cards that I cross stitched. I have a lot of fun putting these together and then having them ready to send out to family and friends.

Three weeks to go...

Mmmm....that zucchini looks good....I'm hungry! I registered to vote for the first time in my life! I just can't let that Chicago Thug get into the office of president! I just love the honesty of Sarah Palin and I hope that one day she will be our commander in chief. Besides, I could never vote for any person who believes in infantacide!!

I'm baaack!!! LOL

Wow....talk about being AWOL.....I almost forgot I started this blog. So much has happened this past year. I've gained a few lbs. and gotten a few more gray hairs and Stacy has a new boyfriend. I'm harvesting tomatoes again. Also, I grew 3 hills of zucchini and am having great fun trying out new recipes for zucchini that I printed off the web. I made a "Mock Apple Pie" using zucchini instead of apples and it was D E L I C I O U S !!!!! I couldn't believe my tastebuds!

Here is a photo of some zucchini I fried up in eggs and saltine crumbs and oil.

Close to Christmas time now!!!!!

I'm very close to wrapping up the homemade goodies for Stacy. :) I hope I can finish up and have them in the mail by Monday. I know she's gonna be so surprised with what I have made her this year! She'll say she loves everything even if she doesn't, though. She's just very sweet that way.
Well, I was right about Julianne and Helio....wasn't I? And now Julianne is gonna make a country western cd. That's great. I wish her well.

Snow!

Well, finally!! Tonight the snow is softly falling here in Eastern Washington.
It's very late this year....we usually have snow by the second week of Nov.
My Thanksgiving was nice. Thanks for asking. :) My needles are flying trying
to get all of my homemade Christmas gifts made in time. Whew! I should of
started in July!
Dancing With The Stars wasn't very good tonight with the exception of Helio and Julianne's last dance....it was GREAT! I sure hope they win....we'll know tomorrow night. :)

Harvesting

Tomatoes, tomatoes, and more tomatoes. I've made chili, spagetti, and marinara sauce until
my freezer can hold no more! Not complaining, though, they are delicious! So much better
than the ones at the store.
I want to make a prediction.....the next Dancing With The Stars winner will be Helio and Julianne Hough. That girl has it all.....good looks, nice personality, and dances like no other female of this generation. IMHO. I love this show. Helio has a lot of natural dancing ability. They also seem to have a chemistry and both have great big smiles. I think they're great!
This is supposably our last nice summery day.....rain and wind and lower temps starting
tomorrow and no end in sight. :-(

Stacy went on home to KC

Our time together is over. It was great while it lasted, though! Stacy was fun and sweet and on the go every waking moment. We attended 2 Spiritual Hunger Conferences together, which I enjoyed immensely. Stacy went to all but one of the conferences. We went shopping, visiting her siblings, and out to eat. I'm so blessed to have such a daughter!!!!

Not much happening......

It's been such a long time since I posted! I don't know why....just not much going on in my life right now. My daughter, Stacy, will be visiting from KC this Sept. I'm looking forward to that.

This is Stacy; my youngest daughter. She will turn 22 this month. She loves the Lord and is great with animals and children. She would love to be a missionary in Africa someday.

That would not be my idea of fun.....but it sure is important to her. :)

Dragonfly at Pond Bookmark

This was a fun one to make. It sold right away!!!
I used pearlescent floss on the dragonfly wings.

Sun, Moon, and Stars Bookmark

The pic doesn't do it justice. The see-through ribbon is perfect!
I used "Oatmeal" Aida Cloth 14 count and shades
of apricot floss.
